Elmar Grasser has been Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Sunrise since April 2013.
Previously, he was CTO at Orange Austria, E-Plus in Germany, and tele.ring in Austria. He gained international experience at O2 and Iridium and worked as an engineer for Siemens.

Elmar Grasser holds a master's degree in computer science from TU Wien and was named “CTO of the Year” by Mobile Europe in 2019 for his role in the introduction of 5G.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Austrian Telecommunications Association (ATV) and the board of trustees of the Austrian Academy of Technology (AAT).
